All interested youth (boys and girls, scouts and
non scouts) in grades 1-12 are invited to learn more about
these role models of Faith.
Cost is $4 to cover the cost of materials and the patch.
The program is part of the Women in Scripture Catholic
faith patch program, offered by the
National Catholic Committeefor Girl Scout Scouts USA
and Camp Fire USA. These programs are designed
to foster Catholic identity and encourage youth to
learn more about their faith, serve their
community, and to grow in holiness.

The Diocese of Worcester Catholic Committee on Scouting is requesting nominations for adult Catholic scouting awards. Anyone may nominate any Catholic adult (does not need to be a registered leader) who the nominator believes has contributed to the spiritual development of Catholic youths through scouting. Two awards are available for nomination:
Bronze Pelican: Information can be found at - http://www.nccs-bsa.org/awards/BronzePelican.php. No specific form to complete. Rather a free-form nominating statement may be submitted to the contact information below.
St. George: Information can be found at - http://www.nccs-bsa.org/awards/StGeorge.php. Nominating form can be found on the website/page.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton award recognizes the meritorious contributions of adults who haved served Catholic youth through Girl Scouts for at least three years. This medal affirms the work of those who help youth develop their spiritual lives within the context of this organization.
St. Anne award honors the outstanding services of adults who have contributed to the spiritual development of Catholic young people for at least seven years in these organizations and furthers Catholic adult leadership in youth ministry through these organizations. Award recipients will be notified ahead of time as to date and location of the awards ceremony.
For Catholic adults in NVC towns that are part of the Archdiocese of Boston (Massasoit District only), forms can be found at: http://www.bostoncatholicscouting.org/bsa-adultemblems.php and must be submitted to the archdiocese by 3/15.
Notification to all Catholic scouters in the Worcester Diocese:
Any scout that would like to start or is actively working on their Catholic religious emblem award needs to submit their completed workbook forms by April 1 to the Diocese of Worcester. Checks for $15 should be included with the form (paid for by either the scout’s home parish or scout’s unit) made out to the Diocese of Worcester. Completed forms and checks should be mailed to: Diocese of Worcester, Attn: Deacon Bill White – Scout Ministry, 49 Elm Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Scouts will be presented their award by Bishop McManus on Saturday 5/3 at the 4pm mass at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Worcester.
